How does the Blog/News module work and what is it used for?

This module is most useful for conveying information that people might want to subscribe to via an RSS reader, such as a blog or news feed. Any information that is going to change or update on a regular basis would be good to have in the blog module.

The module consists of an overview page that lists all posts and detail pages that list an individual post.

What should I know about the Blog/News module before I start?
  1. All articles in the same module must have a unique title
  2. Never add posts to your home page if it is different from the other pages on your site
How do I add a Blog/News module?

Step 1: Log into Javelin.

Step 2: Choose which web page and region you want to add the module to, then click the black "Add" button above this region.

Click the black Add button to add modules to a region.

Step 3: The Add Module popup will appear. Choose that you would like to insert a "Blog/News" module.

Select Blog/News from the Add Module popup.

Step 4: The module will appear on the page with filler content. This content is not visible to users or while in View mode.

How do I delete a Blog/News module?

Step 1: Hover over the arrow next to "Add Post."

Step 2: Select "Delete."

Step 3: Select "OK" from the prompt.

How do I link to my RSS Feed?

If you have an RSS icon

Click the RSS icon next to the blog in question. This page is your RSS feed.

If you don't have an RSS icon

Step 1: Click on any post within the module.

Step 2: Copy the URL, it should look something like the following:

http://back40design.com/blog/m.blog/83/how-to-organize-plan-website-content

Step 3: Replace the blog title (after the last slash) with the word "feed."
Step 3a: If desired, remove everything between your domain name and the /m.blog/...

The Final Result: http://back40design.com/m.blog/83/feed

I have multiple blogs. How do I create a single RSS feed for all of them?

Step 1: Add a blog module to a hidden page on your site.

Step 2: Set up the sharing on this blog to display all the blogs on your site.

Step 3: Copy the RSS link for this module.
